These simply stunning modular wall sculptures are designed and meticulously created by noted American sculptor, Bruce Peebles. Peebles began his career as a sculptor in 1986 after graduating from Spring Hill College with a BA in Fine Art. From 1986 to 2001, his work largely reflected his passion for the human form, employed with an abstractionist’s simplicity of vision, using wood as his preferred medium. His earlier work is deeply influenced by his time living and working in Zimbabwe, Africa. His sculptures have been acquired by serious collectors for more than twenty years, and can also be found in the Tennessee State Museum, and fine art galleries from Los Angeles, California to Miami, Florida.
With his latest modular wall sculptures, Bruce Peebles has fine tuned a vocabulary that pushes the manipulation of geometric shapes and the space between them to their material limits. Each design has been carefully selected to harmonize with our home furnishings, adding the perfect contemporary touch to any room.
In 2002, Peebles formed Custom Design Studio, a contemporary artists’ cooperative in Nashville, Tennessee. In his modular wall sculpture collection designed especially for Modabode.com, Peebles offers an affordable solution for those who desire not just a contemporary wall hanging – but a true work of art. Each sculpture is signed by the artist and numbered, with no edition larger than one hundred.
