This piece is made with a very high grade, fine-grain Bycast Leather. The leather is pre-treated with a thin, invisible polyeurethane coating that is very soft to the touch, but protects the leather against scratches and other abrasions versus non-treated leather.  The Bycast process on our leather sectionals is designed to give the leather a smooth, even look and feel and tends to last a very long time.

The leather is Aniline dyed. The entire hyde is soaked all the way through with the color dye, so if you were to deeply scratch the leather, you would not see white underneath.
