Filipino crafts emphasize the use of renewable resources found in nature, such as woven grasses, shells, rattan, bamboo, jute, and other exotic woods, all indigenous to their island state. These products owe their unusual look to a combination of this traditional ages-old approach with the creativity of our Filipino artisans, who are drawing their inspiration both from nature and modern art. The result is a striking and unique combination of new and old which we are proud to introduce to our customers.
Our Ichiban Lamp is designed to resemble the sacred lotus flower, which stands for purity and perseverance in Chinese mythology. This glowing lotus is hand-crafted out of tinted molded resin on a metal frame, with colored beads glistening like drops of dew on the surface. Available in three colors. Dimensions: 8.5" x 17" H.
